Ferrari F512 M Hot Wheels 1:18 modifications
Model was not produced in Elite version that would have more details. That is why I added to my model elements from set of photo etched steel upgrades. I changed interior colours by adding bright seats and door panels. Also some elements of engine and textile seatbelts were added.
Front grill and wipers are now made of metal instead of original plastic ones.
Interior was swapped from black colour version since it is the only one that was produced with bright interior parts.
After swap:
On above pictures you can see textile seatbelts and seatbelts locks between seats. Pedals and gear shift panel are now made of photo etched steel.
I added some engine details and metal mesh on engine cover.
I also added break discs. Removing the wheels from Hot Wheels F512 M to add breaks.
It was not so straight forward as there are no axis in this model – just plastic semi axis that look rather fragile and it is not visible how wheels ate fixed on those.
I drilled small shallow hole to get access to axis from outside and pushed the axis down through the hole not risking breaking it like it would be the case if I was pulling them out.
